Terms of Service
Version 1.0 — last updated 8 July 2026
1. Who we are
TaxOn Edge™ is a workbench for Indian Chartered Accountants operating GST and Income Tax compliance for their client firms. This document sets out the terms on which we make the platform available to you.
By registering an account or continuing to use the platform, you (the CA firm and each of its users) accept these terms.
2. Your account and access
You must be a practising Chartered Accountant registered with the ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India). We verify your ICAI membership number at signup — currently through operator-assisted review; a third-party verification API may be introduced later, with prior notice via this policy.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity performed under your account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Your clients' data
You are the data controller for your clients' data uploaded to or generated by the platform. We process it on your instructions as your processor. Cross-firm isolation is enforced at the database layer (row-level security scoped by ca_firm_id) and at the application layer (require_ca middleware).
You must have the authority to upload each client's data and to share PDF outputs with third parties (e.g., government portals, auditors).
4. Acceptable use
You will not attempt to bypass access controls, probe other firms' data, submit fraudulent GST or Income Tax filings, or use the platform to abuse or harass any person.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules, subject to a reasonable notice period unless we assess that immediate suspension is necessary to protect other users or comply with the law.
5. Billing and modules
Modules (GST, Income Tax) are billed per activation. Refunds follow the schedule published on the pricing page. For every payment we issue a payment receipt, available under Billing → Invoices. GST-compliant tax invoices carrying our GSTIN begin once our GST registration is in effect; we will tell you when that takes effect and receipts issued before then remain valid proof of payment.
Prices may change with 30 days' written notice; the change applies from your next billing cycle.
6. No professional-advice warranty
The platform is a workbench, not a replacement for your professional judgement. TaxOn Edge-drafted responses to notices, tax computations, and reconciliation classifications require your review before you submit them to any authority.
We provide the service on an as-is basis without warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Substantive changes bump the version number recorded at the bottom of this page; on next login you'll be prompted to re-accept.
If you do not accept the new terms, you may close your account and export your data.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.
